“Alone at the Vanguard” has been nominated for two 2120 Grammy Awards: for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance (for the entire CD) and for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo for the track “Work” by Thelonious Monk. These are Fred’s 4th and 5th Grammy nominations.
Grammys are telecast on February 12th.

Palmetto Records has just released “Alone at the Vanguard”, recorded in December 2010 at the legendary club. Though we recorded six nights and twelve sets, this disc contains, in its entirety, the twelfth and final set of the week.
Edition Peters has just published my intermediate-level piano arrangement of my composition “Valentine”. (No improvising required!).
This piece was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition.
